Trip Report - Oct 3-5, 2012 - Finally, a Clapper Rail!

Visiting birders Drew and son Andrew spent three days with Hugo and me.  Birding can often be a challenge for many of us but what if we were wheelchair bound and able to use only one hand..... That's Drew.  What a man, and what a son.  Here are the birds we saw/heard in various locations around Lake Patzcuaro and Tacambaro.

I was not there...darn. All I do know is the more birding I do and I have just come in from my 4th Christmas Bird Count this month 2 hours ago and the more good, talented, generous birders I meet along the way I am every day more grateful for having spent some time with Georgia in and around Arocutin. She is right up there with the best. Gracias a todos.
